Welcome! I am your child's Kindergarten Teacher. I am from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but have been in Texas for nine years. I am married to my best friend Nate and we have a eight year old son. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, serving in my local church, singing, cooking and traveling.
I earned my Bachelors from the University of Louisiana Monroe and my Masters from Stephen F. Austin State University. I have 15 years of experience working in early childhood in a variety of settings. This is my second year at A.W.B.L.A.. Making this year my 5th in a public school setting.
I believe that children learn differently and a different pace. I strive to reach each learner through a variety of daily activities. I also believe in the theory that play is how young children learn and build upon developmental domains. PURPOSEFUL PLAY is fun and fundamental. I enjoy watching my scholars learn from beginning to end. With great teamwork and collaboration from parents, I am confident that we will have a successful year.
